How to Deadlift for Beginners

The deadlift is a common weight lifting exercise used to strengthen your legs, hips and back.

There are many different ways to perform the deadlift. This video is made for beginners or people new to deadlifting.

TIPS:

1. Stand close to the object you are lifting

2. Stand tall then soften your knees

3. Slide your hands down your thighs by pushing your hips backwards

4. Bend your knees so your hands can get a hold of the object

5. Push through your legs to stand

6. Lower the object by following steps 2-4
